We are a seeking SC Cleared Platform Engineers to work on several projects, providing transformative solutions to central government departments. The successful candidates will have a strong background in either AWS or Azure, agile methodologies, and experience working within the central government sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud-based infrastructure solutions using either AWS or Azure services.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process and ensure continuous integration and delivery.
Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and stakeholders to design and implement secure and efficient cloud-based solutions.
Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure and applications.
Implement and uphold Agile methodologies and best practices to ensure efficient project delivery and collaboration within the team.
Provide technical expertise and support to central government clients, advising on best practices, security requirements, and cloud architecture solutions.
Manage and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring compliance with government and industry regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, implementing effective solutions and improvements.
Stay updated with the latest AWS or Azure services, features, and best practices to ensure the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in either AWS or Azure cloud services and solutions.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
Previous experience working within the central government sector.
Active SC clearance is mandatory for this role.
Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC, or Azure services such as VMs, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Functions.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
AWS or Azure certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are desirable.
