We're seeking a Technical Architect to work closely with the product delivery team, managing the technical design and delivery of change from multiple projects, driving improvements to the service and ensuring they are stable and robust.
Responsibilities:
Support the front-end change process by supporting triage, attending discovery sessions and providing timely impacts and high-level solution designs
Attend and contribute to the product team’s Agile ceremonies
Own technical delivery and risk management of your products
Enable a positive technical culture and team spirit, applying Agile, DevOps and Quality Engineering practices
Design technical services within your scope of the wider end-to-end solution that meet the client’s project and business requirements, strategy, user needs, sustainability goals and represent value for money
Provide input into end-to-end project artefacts such as solution architecture documents, project plans and operational test plans
Provide technical leadership and consultancy to both internal and external product teams, helping ensure the end-to-end solution is fit for purpose
Promote the reuse of patterns, tools, and components.
Build and maintain product roadmaps, looking ahead for future opportunities for innovative new ideas and technology advances, identifying future issues and ensuring decisions by product teams align with the strategy.
Encourage communication within and across multiple development teams to ensure consistency, implement improvements and identify strategic requirements and dependencies
Adhere to technical assurance requirements and the wider Delivery Assurance governance functions, including the requirement for status reporting, RAID management and technical governance processes
Be involved in the wider technical community, identifying good practices to adopt and sharing your experiences, e.g. through blog posts, tech talks at conferences, the engineering community and Team Briefs
Mentor developers and other architects, set standards, support technical capability development and ensure delivery targets are met.
Ensure that your product is supportable and that we are operating the product within our contractual obligations
Ensure appropriate and timely architecture response to support operational escalations, key business events and major incidents, including an open retrospective approach to issue prevention and technical leadership for incident investigations
