Key Responsibilities

  • Risk, Budget, and People Management: Identify and mitigate risks, manage budgets, and lead teams effectively to navigate the complexities of digital transformation.
  • Resource Allocation and Priority Balancing: Allocate people and resources according to shifting priorities, balancing programme objectives to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Agile and Other Methodologies: Leverage in-depth knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and other methodologies to streamline delivery and foster team collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communication: Navigate and communicate with complex stakeholder groups, managing competing priorities while ensuring clear, consistent updates.
  • Point of Escalation for Programme Challenges: Act as the initial escalation point, providing solutions for high-level issues and ensuring programme continuity.
  • Strategic Oversight and Vision Alignment: Maintain a “big picture” perspective, supporting the programme director in realizing their vision and objectives.
  • Coaching and Supporting Delivery Managers: Provide mentorship to delivery managers, fostering a high-performance culture within programme teams.

  • Strategic Planning and Oversight: Ability to manage complex dependencies, align resources, and keep programmes on track.
  • Risk and Budget Management: Experience in identifying risks, managing budgets, and ensuring fiscal responsibility within public sector constraints.
